Johnson Jaguar Golf 2025-26

 

Incoming athletes will be placed in first period before tryouts occur. If you do not sign up for the sport and wish to tryout, dates will be posted, updated on the website and announced at school. These tryouts will occur after school.

 

Tryouts: Between the 2nd and 3rd week of school, tryouts will be hosted at a local golf course. We will start with a skills day (putting, chipping, full swing, and rules understanding). The second day will be a round of 9 holes keeping score. If we need we will host a third day of another 9 holes if we have too many athletes and need to make cuts.

 

These skills and scores will be considered for JV and Varsity placement.

 

It is recommended that athletes practice over the Summer. Keep track of scores from tournaments played (STPGA, Beltway, TJGT, etc.)

 

Placement of athletes can be adjusted after the Fall semester based on success. Some athletes will play in a variety of skill level tournaments.

 

Players should have proper golf attire, golf equipment, and proper shoes.
