I am excited to be returning home to Johnson High School this year! I joined North East ISD in 2006 and have had the opportunity to work at several campuses around the district. In 2003, I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 2013, I completed my Masters in Educational Administration at Texas A&M-San Antonio. My husband Blake and I have two children and in our free time enjoy traveling and staying active. I am looking forward to a great school year! Go Jags!

I am looking forward to another great year with Johnson families and staff! Go Jags!

Before joining the Johnson Administrative Team in 2016, I was the Assistant Director at The Academy of Creative Education (ACE) for four years. I joined the North East ISD family in 2008 as an English teacher for the STEM Academy at L.E.E. High School.

I have lived in many different states and countries as my father was in the US Army.  I graduated in 1994 from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in English and earned my Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in 2012 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to becoming an educator, I worked as a Media Manager in the Advertising field for a variety of clients.

My husband, Brett, is also an educator, and we have one son.

Please contact me anytime with questions; I would very much like to hear from you.

I grew up in rural Wisconsin and graduated from Eleva-Strum High School in 1992.  After high school, I went to the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and earned a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Adapted Physical Education.

After graduating college, I moved to San Antonio and started my career in education at Krueger Middle School.  During my 12 years at Krueger, I taught Special Education and Physical Education, coached various sports, and I was the first AVID Coordinator for the campus.  During my time at Krueger, I earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from UTSA.  In 2010, I transitioned from middle school to high school and started the Achieve Program at Johnson High School.

In 2012, I was named the Assistant Principal at Bradley Middle School.  I spent one semester as an Assistant Principal at Lopez Middle School before returning home to Johnson High School as an Assistant Principal in 2015.

On a personal note, I have been married to my wife Liz for many years.  We have three daughters Isabella, Madelyn, and Lauren who love to attend Johnson events, so you will often see them at games, concerts, and performances.

After 15 rewarding years shaping students’ academic and athletic journeys, I’m honored to begin my second year serving as an Assistant Principal at Johnson High School.

I’ve had the privilege of serving students and athletes at New Braunfels High, Anderson High (Austin), San Marcos, Madison High School, and now Johnson HS here in NEISD. My teaching experience includes Business, Speech, PE, and primarily Economics. I’ve also coached a variety of sports, including football, basketball, soccer, strength and conditioning, and high jump (track).

I hold myself and others to high standards by fostering respectful, meaningful connections that prioritize student success and personal growth.

This year, I’m focused on strengthening systems for student support and promoting both academic and extracurricular achievement. I believe every student thrives when they feel seen, supported, and challenged, and I’m honored to help create that environment.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Business from Texas State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

Outside of school, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with my wife and our three kids, who stay busy with soccer, volleyball, baseball, and other activities.

Welcome Jags!

This is my 4th year at Johnson High School and my 2nd year as an Assistant Principal.

I grew up in San Marcos and graduated from San Marcos HS.  My undergraduate degree is a BA in History and English, and I have my MS in Sports Management.  I taught English and History and coached girls sports for 27 years before becoming an administrator.

My daughter is a junior at Texas State and my son is a freshman at MacArthur.  I spend a lot of my free time at their various activities.  I am an avid reader and podcast listener and am starting to add concerts and weekend getaways to my list of things that make me happy.

Please reach out if you have any questions!  Go Jags!

I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, and attended Ohio University for my undergraduate studies. I moved to San Antonio in 1999 and taught ELAR at Washington Irving Middle School (SAISD) for eleven years. During that time, I received my Master of Education in Administration from Concordia University. I began my NEISD journey when I was hired to teach ELAR at Bradley Middle School, and after teaching ELAR for 21 years, I transitioned to an Assistant Principal at Bradley.

It is an honor and privilege to join the Jag family and the administrative team at Johnson High School! I look forward to working with the students, staff, and community to provide the best educational experience for all of the students who attend CTJ!

When I am away from work, traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with my family and friends are some of my favorite things to do. I am a Cleveland sports fan hoping like everyone else in northeastern Ohio to see a Super Bowl or World Series win in my lifetime!

I am a San Antonio native and after being a military spouse and living overseas, I returned home to San Antonio, where I finished my college education at Texas A&M San Antonio. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. I was a Science teacher and a Science Department Coordinator in Northside ISD until I earned my Master's in Educational Leadership at UT Tyler. I moved to Comal ISD to become an Assistant Principal at Smithson Valley Middle School and spent three years there before coming to NEISD and Johnson High School. I am excited to be a part of the Jag Community!

I have two sons and am a proud Army mom. I planned my career around raising them, graduating from my master's program the same year my youngest graduated high school. This plan has afforded me the ability to focus on our students and our school. You will see me at every event possible to support your kids.

It's going to be a great school year! Go Jags!
